On-site nitrogen generation
Nitrogen plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, dry and controlled production environment.
Nitrogen helps maintain a clean and dry production environment to avoid oxidation and dross formation in the wave soldering process – ensuring a clean and accurate finish. Selective soldering, in particular, requires an inert atmosphere of high purity nitrogen gas.
Why nitrogen matters in PCB soldering
Because a reliable supply of high purity nitrogen is so essential for maintaining product quality and throughput we installed a N2C-8NCALA Parker Nitrogen Generator rated @4.5m3/h @6.8 barg. This produces a purity level above 99.995% (50ppm). On-site generation also avoids the environmental cost of transporting bottled nitrogen.
Additional air compressor capacity was installed to supply the nitrogen generator, so the new system can deliver enough Nitrogen generation capacity for a future 2nd selective soldering machine to increase capability even further.
Our production environment captures and records:
- Prevents Oxidation
- Minimises Dross
- Essential for Selective Soldering
- Improves Consistency
Our on-site nitrogen generation system

Conformal coating
Conformal coating provides critical protection for electronic assemblies that operate in exposed or challenging conditions.
- Protection Against Moisture
- Environmental Resistance
- Enhanced Durability
- Improved Performance Stability
