Trizo has a strategy of continuous technology investment. Our aim is to consistently enhance throughput and reliability, while offering our diverse customer base the flexibility and responsiveness they need.

Here’s a summary of some of the advanced technology enabling our Total Product Assembly capability.

ERSA Selective Solder

A range of ERSA selective solder modules enables us to deliver the optimum combination of flexibility and throughput for each assignment. Precision fluxing and a highly controllable solder wave height get as close to zero defect soldering as is currently possible.

Dual pot selective soldering allows different alloys to be used without time-consuming retooling. Alternatively, this configuration can be used to double the throughput.

Automated Assembly

Trizo run a multi-line SMT Hybrid Modular Mounter that can achieve exceptionally high throughput (up to 45,000 CPH) accommodating a wide range of board sizes, with impressive control over placement precision and the downward force applied to components.

High Definition Automated X-Ray Inspection

Defect detection in high-precision assemblies calls for high resolution X-ray inspection (μAXI). Trizo has invested in the latest offline AXI equipment as part of our drive towards zero-defect, risk free manufacturing.

SMT Stencil Printer

Capabilities include high-precision PCB printing including our Europlacer EP710 with 1 micron linear encoders on all axes.

New Product Introduction

NPI is a fundamental process for any operation that requires a fast and seamless new product introduction process.

Used to validate any new product ahead of being processed, NPI gives the user complete control of package and programming details without interfering with live production, keeping throughput efficiencies high. Being able to load a CAD or Gerber file and validate component type, orientation, feeder type etc. ahead of production before placing any component.

After loading a new PCB in the machine, operators just need to follow the different steps that help to check and validate all parameters involved in the new product. When an error is detected, the software allows the operator to make corrections and test without halting production.

Fiducial marks, placement coordinates and orientation of the components (an overlay is placed on top of the image), nozzles, feeder set-up and feeder controls will be validated. The operator has the possibility to temporarily delete some items, patterns and references . The production can then start safely without any further adjustment.

High-Precision PCB Service and Rework

Safe and precise rework of PCB panels up to 500mm – 625mm is carried out on our ERSA IR/PL 650 XL station.

Total Traceability

Total Traceability lets users integrate full traceability into the production process. Our production process can record the source and the full data logging each component was subjected to, including feeder type and serial number, test processes and results.

This enables us to build a detailed traceability record for each fully assembled PCB.

The archive can be processed by PROMON production monitoring software or exported for traceability analysis. Based on product identification, the system also permits automatic program loading to streamline changeover. We record all the data automatically and can integrate with external sources for trend analysis and data collection.

Trizo’s “Stock Management” enables traceability for all components in storage or on the shop floor. It gives users the ability to easily locate all components and discover the remaining quantities in real time, while production is still running.

On-Site Nitrogen Generation

Nitrogen helps maintain a clean and dry production environment to avoid oxidation and dross formation in the wave soldering process – ensuring a clean and accurate finish. Selective soldering, in particular, requires an inert atmosphere of high purity nitrogen gas.

Because a reliable supply of high purity nitrogen is so essential for maintaining product quality and throughput we installed a N2C-8NCALA Parker Nitrogen Generator rated @4.5m3/h @6.8 barg. This produces a purity level above 99.995% (50ppm). On-site generation also avoids the environmental cost of transporting bottled nitrogen.

Additional air compressor capacity was installed to supply the nitrogen generator, so the new system can deliver enough Nitrogen generation capacity for a future 2nd selective soldering machine to increase capability even further.

Conformal Coating

Conformal Coating helps maintain and protect the products when they are being used in more exposed, harsh conditions and require additional preparation to stop water ingress.

Electro-Mechanical

Trizo offer a cradle to grave solution for customers, taking the PCB and integrating them into the finished product.

This gives added flexibility and one-stop shop convenience for customers looking for a reliable supply chain solution.
